Precious Lamb Preschool is seeking a dynamic Development Director to be responsible for all our vital revenue streams, which allow us to achieve our mission and maximize our impact in the Long Beach community. The successful candidate will be responsible for fundraising campaigns, including our annual gala, grant writing, communicating with current and prospective donors, and managing donor software (Donor Perfect). Precious Lamb Preschool is a 501(C) 3 non-profit founded in 1999. For twenty years we have been providing no-cost, faith-based, high-quality early education to children experiencing homelessness in the greater Long Beach area. To date, we have served over 500 children and countless parents and guardians. To learn more, visit

Expectations include but are not limited to:
• Develop and oversee our Spring Fundraiser and Fall Gala
• Research, write, and submit all grants
• Identify prospective individual and corporate donors and develop strategies to cultivate new donors
• Implement new fundraising events and/or crowdfunding campaigns
• Create marketing materials and collateral for donors
• Collaborate with community partners and volunteers
• Keep website up-to-date and create content for social media

The ideal candidate should possess:
• Excellent written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to multi-task and quickly create solutions, as well as support teachers and staff when needed
• Passion, or a willingness to learn, about the demographics we serve: at-risk, homeless youth and their families
• Desired skills- detail oriented, highly organized, flexible and ability to work with and motivate teams and board of directors

• A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in related field
• 5+ years non-profit and fundraising experience
• Grant Writing and Event Planning experience
• A basic understanding of Donor Perfect or other CRM’s preferred
• Website Design and Social Media marketing experience preferred

Salary Range: is $60,000 – $65,000 and is commensurate with education and experience
